The Bosh o2 sensor measures the exhaust gases from the engine and sends a signal to the gauge to tell you exactly what your air fuel ratio (AFR) is in numbers. Use the picture above as a reference for tuning your AFR. You will need to weld the supplied bung into your exhaust unless of course it already has a bung.
