This single unit replaces your stock CDI and coil with a performance all-in-one module that’s fully plug-and-play. No cutting, no splicing. Install takes about 20 minutes, especially if you follow our step-by-step video.
What it does:
• Removes the factory ~8k RPM rev limiter
• Advances ignition timing for stronger acceleration
• Integrates a high-voltage 32kV ignition coil (stock is ~15kV)
• Delivers a hotter, more efficient spark at the start of combustion
• Improves acceleration and potential top speed when you’re hitting the stock rev limiter
You won’t find another Ruckus CDI on the market with this many features baked into one plug-and-play unit. It’s hands-down one of the best bang-for-the-buck performance mods for the GET motor.
Real-world testing:
We’ve seen gains of around **12 MPH** on a 2006 Ruckus with just the CDI/Coil installed, and up to **20 MPH** with additional mods (big carb, CVT kit, and exhaust). Keep in mind, our testing is at roughly 5,700 feet above sea level — we lose about 20% power up here due to thin air. At sea level, the setup is even more impressive.
Important Things to Note ▶
• Does NOT fit the Honda Zoomer.
• You should verify that you are hitting your stock rev limiter first — if you’re not, the main benefit will be quicker acceleration, not a big top speed jump.
• Results will vary depending on rider weight, altitude, terrain, year of Ruckus, and other performance mods already installed.
• Because the coil produces a much stronger spark, fuel is burned more efficiently — this can create a slightly lean condition. In some setups, a rejet may be required.
• Stock rev limiter (factory):
– 2002–2006: ~8000 RPM (video testing was done on a 2006)
– 2006–Present: ~8850 RPM

From skeptical to convinced… Worried me to change a newish ruck that was otherwise working great, but I can say after plenty of thorough use that I’m happy I did! I’ve personally combined this with a 38/78 jet setup, performance exhaust, k&n filter, polini variator with 5.5 & 6 gram sliders and the Kevlar belt. ~Thanks! :)

This CDI or EVI helped achieve a higher top speed for my ruckus. In my experience, it's best paired with a performance exhaust and bigger jetting for the carburetor, 38 pilot and 80 main.
