The Details
Stock Chinese ignition components are known for weak spark output and inconsistent timing — especially as they heat up. This replacement steps around that problem entirely by using a microprocessor CDI with an integrated high-output coil, made in Taiwan for reliability.
Performance Benefits
- Removes the stock rev limiter — smoother power all the way through
- Advances ignition timing for stronger throttle response
- Upgraded coil output: ~30kv vs ~15kv stock
- Stronger spark = more complete fuel burn = better acceleration + cleaner running
Wiring
- Red Wire: 12v keyed power (easy to tap from taillight)
- Black Wire: Ground (attach to engine metal)
- Blue Wire: Connects to your stator pickup (blue wire from stator)
The install is simple and takes just a few minutes — no factory CDI or coil required.
Important Things to Note
- This is a universal hard-wire CDI/Coil combo — it is not plug-and-play.
- Designed for GY6 engines using standard stator signal pickup.
- Works whether your original system was AC or DC CDI.
- If wired to keyed power, turning the key off kills the motor (clean & simple setup).

Looks to be great quality and arrived quickly .... Still working on install, trying to adapt to 88 Honda Foreman 350d where no oem Honda CDI available anywhere
This item worked beautifully, it couldn’t have been easier to connect. It eliminates all of the electronic paraphernalia for ignition three wires to hook up power negative and spark plug. I love this item. On a sidenote, rolling wrench took care of a problem I had that was totally my fault., they stepped up to the right thing and never questioned anything. This is the kind of business model all companies should adhere to.
Did everything it was supposed to do. Wires up and mounts easy.
Boe’s Lukin Duke here from MR original concept garage, I wanted to chime in on this product the DC cdi/coil combo! I’ve been using this product since we first built our 232cc liquid cooled 4 valve swapped Honda Ruckus back in 2022!!!
Each time we’ve redone the wiring I tried others but always came back to the RW DC CDI/COIL COMBO!!!
We tried them all don’t believe me watch our YouTube channel this product has proven itself time and time again Nuff Said!!!!
