We created this 18 pole charging system upgrade kit, mainly for the guys purchasing our EFI system that want the larger stator. However, if you are already running any of our Rolling Wrench GY6 wiring harness, you will not need this. This is for the people that are running Dorby, ATR, PSP, Drow, DanMax, or any of the other gy6 swap harness including factory gy6 harness on the market. It can be used on any GY6 (qmj157) with an already existing DC ignition system or a EFI system.
The reason you would upgrade to a 18 pole charging system is to have the highest level charging system you can fit into a GY6. Meaning, if you are running a lot of accessories or are having battery draining issues. This is the kit for you. We run 18 pole stators in all of our bikes. It’s best to have extra power then not enough, and be on the side of the road. This charging system kit will bypass your existing charging system. It’s will work for any GY6 (qmj157) no matter what the gy6 is installed into.
This kit is offered 3 different ways:
OPTION 1: (I have a 18 pole EFI system already):
- 18 Pole Stator
- 18 Pole Rectifier Regulator
- 60 Inches of Power/Ground Wire to reach the battery
OPTION 2: (I have a carbureted GY6 with a DC ignition system):
- 18 Pole Stator
- 18 pole carburetor magneto
- 18 Pole Rectifier Regulator
- 60 Inches of Power/Ground Wire to reach the battery
OPTION 3: (I have an 11/12 pole stator in my EFI GY6 and want to upgrade to 18 pole):
- 18 Pole Stator
- 18 pole EFI magneto
- 18 Pole Rectifier Regulator
- 60 Inches of Power/Ground Wire to reach the battery
