Want more reliable charging power for your GY6 setup? This 18-pole charging system upgrade is designed for builders running EFI or high-demand electrical accessories. If you're using a Rolling Wrench GY6 harness, you’re already covered — otherwise, this kit gives you the strongest charging system that fits inside a GY6 (QMJ157) platform. Available in three configurations depending on whether you’re EFI, carbureted DC ignition, or upgrading from an existing stator.

The Details

This system was originally developed for customers upgrading to our EFI system and needing stronger charging output. With more builds running lights, gauges, audio, fuel pumps, and electronic control systems — the stock stator can struggle. The 18-pole setup gives you the highest charging output available for the GY6 platform, helping prevent weak-battery issues and electrical dropouts.

It works with any GY6 (QMJ157) using an existing DC ignition system or EFI, and bypasses the factory charging circuit entirely. If you're currently running Dorby, ATR, PSP, Drow, DanMax, a factory GY6 harness, or any harness other than Rolling Wrench — this kit ensures consistent voltage and long-term electrical stability.

Important Things to Note

• This kit is intended for QMJ157 GY6 engines (125cc–232cc).
• Not compatible with RZR-style engines.
• Installation may require a flywheel puller and basic wiring knowledge.
• If you have an AC carbureted ignition system and want to convert to DC + 18-pole, we already offer a full conversion kit.
