Brake light not turning on when you squeeze the lever? 🛑 Or your scooter won’t start unless you wiggle the handle? That usually means the brake light switch has failed — and this replacement solves both issues in one quick swap.
- 💡 Restores brake light function
- 🔧 Fixes “won’t start unless brake is pressed” issues
- 🛵 Common failure part on most Chinese scooters
The Details ⚙️
On most scooters, the brake switch has two jobs: turn on the brake light and signal the starter system that the brake lever is pulled. When the switch wears out, fails internally, or sticks, you'll lose one or both functions — which leads to a no-start situation and no brake light.
Replacing the switch is simple: unplug the old one, remove it from the lever housing, and plug the new one in. It’s one of the easiest electrical fixes you can do.
If you're troubleshooting a scooter that suddenly stopped starting, this part is one of the first things worth checking.
